After we returned home from church today, we asked the kids what they learned:
Abby: "We learned about love."
Leah: "We learned about love, too."
Lauren: "I didn't learn nuffin."
Anyway... I went on a campout with the scouts over the weekend. They've been working on their cycling merit badge and this was a chance to ride with them. We went to Antelope Island Friday night, camped under the stars, and went on a 14-mile mountain bike ride. Most the young men made it up and I did, too. I haven't ridden a bike for about 7 years and don't even own one. I had to borrow a bike from another large man in our ward. It was a fun ride with some good downhill, but the trail had plenty of sand to make it a bit challenging. We saw a buffalo walk through our camp, lots of antelope (fancy that...Antelope Island), and no shade. There are about 5 trees on the entire island.
I'm off to Tennessee this week to visit the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the Cherokee National Forest. Hope my girls survive!

I want to go to Eva's nursery...that sounds fun! -Jen
Fun times! We all have those occasional weeks where we could give Lauren's response, right? You know, those weeks you spend most of sacrament hushing the kids than hearing anything!
Have a great time in TN. The Smokey Mountains are beautiful! It's rather rainy here today, so I hope you have better weather down there.
It's rainy here, too. It's supposed to rain most this week here in eastern Tennessee. Luckily, I brought a rain poncho...
Uneventful flights today, which is good.
Uh, scrap the rain today. We had about 5 sprinkles. Then the sun came out and it was sweltering. The funny thing was the temps were about 75 degrees, but the humidity was stifling. Actually, the bugs were the worst part of it all today. I was sweating and the knats would buzz around me, hit me in the face and neck, and get stuck in my sweat. Gross!
The national park is very beautiful. I learned first-hand today why they call it the great "smoky" park...very intense fog this morning as we drove through to the North Carolina side (which, by the way, is the first time I'd ever been to North Carolina).
