Hey Gilly, I just want you to know that I shaved my goatee off on Sunday morning in anticipation of your wedding. I might also get a haircut (and by "get" I mean give myself one). Just know that your decision to get married has far reaching implications -- like my personal hygiene.
On a different note, I went to the dentist last week -- this has nothing to do with the wedding. I'm happy to say that I'm 31 years old now and still have only had 2 cavities in my life. My dentist said my teeth looked great. The hygenist asked where I grew up and I responded with my typical "Oh, I'm a gypsy and have lived all over the place and it wasn't because of the military" answer. You all know that answer, don't you? Haven't you been giving it for years, too? She followed up with, "Well, they must have great flouride in their water because your teeth look great." I was tempted to discuss the dead Indians in the water in Indiana, but I passed.
Not all towns in Utah have flouride in their water. I do know that my water district does have flouride in the water, so Wahoo!
I think this means I can go another two years before visiting the dentist, right?

hm... for some reason I am thinking that Elk Ridge doesn't have Flouride in our water, given that I always have cavities no matter what I do. Mine is also the whole deal with my back teeth being to close to each other and it makes it really hard to floss.
Yeah, Gillian, I also shaved my beard off. I didn't think that you would appreciate having Grizzly Adams (do you even know who that is?) in any of your wedding photos. Besides, beards tend to put a bit of a damper on kisses, too.
And just who are you going to be kissin??? I'm off limits. -Jess
Jess, I hate you. I go to the dentist every 6 months and always have some new issue. I just had to get a crown last month because the previous dentist hadn't gotten all of a small cavity out, so it got bigger underneath the filling and would've been a root canal if I didn't get it taken care of. I seriously hate the dentist, but with my lame enamel, I'll always have to be on top of my appts.
I have great teeth too! I love it. I did have that one tooth in my gum sideways and that was weird. I still had baby teeth at 21 because the tooth never came down. But, aside from that I have had no problems with my teeth. I have a few more cavities (1 or 2) but other than that, my dentist always comments on how nice my teeth are. It's nice to have something on my body working. I do have to get my wisdom teeth out soon though.
Well, I hate to brag, but I have had zero cavities in my 31 years, Jess (knock on wood). Although, I still have my fair share of problems with this blasted fake tooth right front and center that will never be happy in it's home (the gum around it has been red and swollen for years now and just won't accept the tooth) and there is pretty much nothing I can do about that, which is sad.
But hey - good job on having good teeth and a clean shaven face.
Wow, we have a winner! I had no idea you had a cavity-free mouth, Amy. Me, you, and Adrianne can be lucky teeth buddies. Sweet mother.
