Kaitlin and I got to attend the American Idol Tour Concert last night, thanks to free tickets from the Coats family. They had two extra tickets and so they asked us if we'd like them. Would we like them?!?!? You have to ask?!? Bishop Coats, his wife and three daughters all attended - apparently they are big fans of the show. We sure appreciate their thoughtfulness.
It was the loudest night of my life. Seriously. I haven't ever been to a rock concert and so I wasn't prepared for the sound. The walls were literally shaking. It was so loud that when the intermission came, we went out and met up with the Coats girls. We all sounded like chipmunks that had sipped on helium. It was so weird.
I have watched most of every season of this show and I personally think last season was the best in terms of talent. The only really bad performer in the show last night was the Utah chick - she still can't sing and she has absolutely no stage presence. She doesn't know what to do with herself. The rest of the performers rocked!! They were much better live than on TV. They got to sing the entire song instead of 30 seconds and I was amazed at their energy. Wow! What incredible talent!
I believe Kaitlin will post some photos she got last night. It was such a fun evening and I enjoyed spending it with her.

That is so cool! I bet is was an awesome night for you both. I've only been to two concerts--Alison Kraus, and Air Supply. Both were awesome, one more awesome than the other but I bet you can't guess which one that would be. ;)
I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you...
Fun! I bet that was a blast! Dave and I have been looking up concerts lately to start going in the area! I think they are always great entertainment!
