John Gedeon Clark was given his name today through a beautiful, beautiful blessing by his dad, Lance during church. It was a privilege for us to be in attendence and to hear Lance's sweet testimony as well. We enjoyed the meeting very much.
This is what's left of our family in Utah (except for Amy and kids). Kaitlin couldn't be there but the rest of us attended the blessing. Kevin & Gillian on the left, Adam, Mom, Lance, Nancy & John, Jess, Jen & Dad. Ammon is in the front with Abby, Lauren and Leah in front of Jess & Jen.
Lance, Nancy, John, Chase Raymond and wife Ashley and Nancy's good friend Rachelle also attended. (Jess in in the background holding up the tree.)
We rushed home after sacrament meeting at Lance's church to be there in time to see Kaitlin receive her Young Womanhood award - she has the medalion around her neck. She also sang a duet with Melissa Merrill and did a lovely job in spite of a bad head cold.

Congratulations, Kaitlin! I believe Adrianne is the only other girl in the family to have completed all requirements although her leaders never got her the medalion. Correct me, girls if I'm wrong.
Clouds and more clouds - what can I say?! It's rained every single day for the past two weeks. Today we had a hailstorm in the middle of church. It was awesome!! (And lots and lots of thunder during Ammon's nap today - he wanted me to add that.)
I don't think I've ever seen it rain so much or so hard in the state of Utah while I've lived here.
Everything is so green and incredibly beautiful!
This is our first batch of strawberries for this year. Nothing to shout about except.....
...look at the size of some of the berries! They are fantastic. Best strawberries I've ever eaten. The type is Albion, if any of you want to plant some.
We attended a belated birthday party for Ella on Saturday evening. Adam did some mean grilling and Amy had fixed a great meal as always. John came to the party, too.
I think Ammon is enjoying this session a whole lot more than John is.
Here is the birthday girl thoroughly enjoying her yummy cupcakes.
Mouth is stuffed full! She seemed to have lots of fun with everybody. Happy birthday once again you cute little girl!

For those of you that haven't ever seen the Bigler's yard, here are two pictures of their yard where Gillian and Kevin will have their reception.
The photo booth will be to the left of that middle tree and a large white carriage will be sitting to the right in front of the white flowers. Gifts are placed in that carriage. The party will be behind the house on a deck where there is a waterfall and small pond. It's a very beautiful yard!
Unfortunately, these beautiful poppies and daisies will be gone when the reception takes place, but there will still be other pretty flowers.

I too finished my young woman achievement award. Just thought you all might want to know. ;) These are great pictures. I've never seen the Biglar's house. It looks like it's going to be a great place to have the reception. Elle's hair is so long now. She sure is cute.

Pretty yard for a reception. If it rains will you go indoors? or to the local church?
Lindsey, I can't believe you never went to the Biglers! And I didn't realize you got your award as well. Did you get the medalion? I'm sorry that I forgot. Where's my dang mind these days???
Michelle, if it rains, we will go to the church. It's just a block or so away.
It was fun to come down to Orem and participate in the blessing. Glad we were invited. And thanks for the scrumptious cake afterward, Lance. Jen says, "I wish I had another piece of it RIGHT NOW."
Congratulations to Katy on the medallion. The youth in our ward don't do very good with Duty to God or Young Women Recognition awards. It's probably because they have really poor leaders...
Thanks to everyone who came to the blessing. Lance and I and Baby John really appreciated all of you making the trip.

I wish Russ and Eve and I could have come to John's blessing! I love the pictures of baby John. I can't get enough of him. Chris, I am familiar with Albion strawberries. We went to an organic strawberry farm and they had 5 different varieties. Albion was one of my favorites! I hope you enjoy them.
How great for your family to get together! So much is always going on with the Clarks it is hard to keep up. Congrats on the hugeantic strawberries. I'll just keep on wishing.
