New Discoveries

Every day that I walk around campus during my lunch hour, I wonder how many times I'm going to have to cross that ugly, huge parking lot and then I wonder if I'll ever see anything different. This week I saw something most unusual. A week or so ago I took this photo because the trees are all in blossom and very beautiful all across campus. I wish you could smell them as well. I snapped this shot and went on my way.

A few days later I walked near the very same tree but this time my attention was drawn to the tree for more details. I had not noticed before the branches and bark. I have never seen anything like it before. The branches looked like bright pink pipe cleaner. As you can see, it's pretty strange looking but very beautiful just the same.

Here's a second look at the tree now that I could really "see" the tree as it is in all its detail.
I love my walks. Nearly every day I find something else to interest me. The world is a very beautiful place.
