Myrtle Beach

We don't have pictures to post but we will later. We had a great time on our trip.

Monday: Lindsey, Hans and the kids came to see us. We spent a few hours at the beach and then we went to eat at Fudruckers. Their kids are adorable!

Tuesday: We went on a boat ride to see dolphins. We almost missed the boat but it was having technical difficulties and started working right as we showed up. Phew. We saw about six dolphins on the boat ride. They just come right up behind the shrip boats and catch all the shrip the nets didn't catch. That was really cool to see them. Later that night we went to the Dixie Stampeed. It is a dinner with a little toned-down rodeo. I thought of mom the whole time.

Wednesday: We got a couples massage. Heavenly. After the massage we went to the pool at the resort and tried to get a tan. We weren't very successful. We also walked around Celebrity Circle (a bunch of shops) and had dinner at a Mexican resturant.

Thursday: My birthday was great. We went to the Ripley's attractions (museum, haunted house, moving theater) and then we went to the circus. It wasn't the normal circus but the circus with contortionists and stuff. It was really, really cool. Afterwards we went to Celebrity circle again saw a movie at the IMAX theater. After the movie Mike took me to dinner at The Melting Pot. It was AMAZING. I loved it. We will go again only next time just get the cheese and chocolate fondue.

Friday: We went back to the beach in the morning for an hour walk. Then we went to a lame movie (Knowing) and came back to the resort to eat an early dinner. We went back to the beach but it was cold and the sun was setting so we only stayed a little while and then came back and got in the hot tub.

Saturday: We packed up and went to Lindsey and Hans' house. They have a great house. It is big and open. They have four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. There is also a great big backyard. We played games until midnight and then went to bed. Again, their kids are so cute. Eva likes to run around naked. My favorite things about her is when you ask her a question she says with the sweetest smile, "Yes, Yes." So cute. Gabe is giant. He is only a few pounds lighter than Isaac and I kept forgetting he was only a little older than Eli. It was so nice to see them. I think it's been three and a half years!

I might have gotten some activities on the wrong days but overall, we had a really great time. I missed the boys but I'm so thankful to Chelsey for watching them for us. We didn't go on a honeymoon so this was our first time going somewhere together and it was wonderful. Now we are back to normal life. Check out our blog to hear about our trip home.

I'm really glad you had such a great vacation! You deserved it. I'm also happy you got back safely to your kiddos although I'm really sorry to hear about your car. Look at the blessings you had to get as close to home as you did! Wow...I'm sure the Lord was watching over you.

Wow! That sounded like a thirty years saga of activities, and it was only a few days. How wonderful.

That old Mike did my sweetie up really well. Good for him and her.

I think the next vacation that Chris and I take is going to be in the Spirit World. I will sure miss the good food, however.

So what is the thing about Myrtle Beach. Is that one of the big vacation spots around?
