If you've been to our blog recently, you'd see we (I) changed the background again. Yes, I tend to do that out of boredom. Brent just grins and keeps quiet. Rather girly perhaps, but oh well. Anyway, here's the question. The header on the top of our blog has a spot for a picture. How do I add one in there? I downloaded the header as a picture. Can I use Picasa to blend two photos together? I don't know anything about html or serious computer stuff, so go easy on me please.
Also, do you have to buy photoshop or can I download a version for free?

I used Photoshop for our banner. I don't think you can use Picasa to blend two photos. I could possibly help if you sent me the two photos, but I'm busy until 8pm MSDT. -Jess
I'm right there with you on the computer illiterate part. I had such a tough time with downloading the video for Caleb's solo on our website. Now I'm not even sure if I did it right, or if everyone can even hear it because only 3 people commented on it so I'm thinking that not everyone could get into it and hear it?????? Or maybe not everyone cares, but I think he was fabulous and for a first solo it was incredible! It would be great if everyone could comment becuase Caleb has been checking to see what everyone is writing about it.
Let's not confuse presence / absence of comments with presence / absence of interest. If I commented on all things I'm interested in, I'd never leave the computer.
We watched the video of Caleb singing and were impressed with his courage to sing in front of any group.
Jess helped me with my banner so I'm sure he'll help you too...I guess he already offered. Anyway, if I didn't have Jess help I never would have gotten the picture to work.
Hi Jess, I understand not commenting on everyone's website cause there just isn't time in the world for that, however this one time I'm asking that everyone takes a few seconds to make a comment on his solo for Caleb's sake since he is looking. I asked my parents to do the same thing. Thanks.
Cheldis,
I hope you have better luck finding anything free from Photoshop that the rest of us. They are one of the tightly held companies in the world. You have trouble getting them to allow you to put their product on a different (new) computer even when the old computer is no longer used or is dead.
Yes you will need Photoshop of Photopaint to combine two photos. Jess could do it in a minute. Send the work to him and let him at it.
I used to be able to do it, too, but when you do not do things for a while you forget how.
