It's Great to Be 8!

Sarah is officially 8 today! She got her favorite sweet treat for breakfast (donuts~ and YES, I restrained!) and opened her gifts. She's not very happy that Brent and I have a stake Bishop's dinner to attend tonight though. Her party is tomorrow, so we'll post all the fun pictures of that tomorrow or Sunday.





She's following in Alyssa's footsteps and getting her ears pierced too. She can hardly wait. I guess we'll see when it's actually time to do it! Her baptism will be the 28th of March. Anybody coming? (I know, just kidding...although....tickets are much cheaper now than they were....) I can't believe she's already 8! Where'd the years go?

On another note, don't you like my cute grass buckets? I was asked to make an inexpensive centerpiece for an "empty-nesters" dinner the youth were doing last night at mutual. Grass was about the cheapest I could come up with. I found the buckets at Target's dollar spot and grew the grass in 3 weeks. Then I put in the butterflies, tied some ribbon around the base, and used moss around some flameless candles and each bucket. I didn't get a pic of the finished product, but I like the buckets anyway. Now I have another centerpiece to do for the RS's bday dinner on Tues. I think I'll reuse the grass, then I'll fill in the backyard!!
