No one even commented on tautology in the post on evolution. Critics of those of us that think evolutionary biology is wrong make fun by saying that our ideas cannot be empirically tested. Guess what else can not be empirically tested--a tautology!
So one of the major ideas which Darwinics use to support evolution is an untestable idea. Good science! I just went back and read what I wrote in the first post, and realized in point two that I had said Natural Selection when I had meant to say Survival of the Fittest is a tautology. Put that into what I have said above.
I am interested in the religious idea of atomic things being put on the earth during creation. What about the comments of early prophets saying that procreation was the method of populating the earth? That is to say that celestial things, including God himself, created the things that went on the earth by procreation. They were then put on this earth, as they are put on others that have been created. I can produce more on this if anyone is interested.
I would be interested in how Darwiniacs can explain, not just dismiss, irreducible complexity. The existence of basic enzymes are good examples of something that is irreducibly complex. The late great astrophysicist Sir Fred Hoyle (Look him up, he was a great scientist.) ran the numbers and determined that the mathematical probability of the basic enzymes of life arising by random processes were 1 to 1 followed by 40,000 zeros, or so "utterly minuscule" as to make Darwin's theory of evolution absurd. In other words, they are so complex and specific in function that for them to evolve from anything (just what would that be?) would require so much time and survival and replication of desired transitory steps that it just is not something that could happen by random evolution.
Does this mean that such a thing might have design involved? Did I use that term? Darwiniacs think that as soon as you say design you are talking about God, and that is something that is not part of the possibility of what evolution is about.
Jason said that many people who believe in evolution are religious and go to church, etc. Yes, but all of them are ignoring the conflicts which exist. That is all right. We all do that. No one has all the answers. But does it matter? I say yes, as one moves along the road to greater commitment and understanding. Truth is absolutely necessary for actual eternal progression, and much truth is being ignored for one reason or another concerning this issue.
Now, Jess, or anyone else. Where is the answer to my question about fossil evidence of transitional things. This is a very important problem with evolution. Think about that one.
More later.
