Chris and Gillian gave us an awesome ear thermometer, so we won't have to bother with those bum kinds. Thank you! Nelva and her daughters were so kind to give John two cute outfits, some baby spoons, a car seat toy, and a cute "I love daddy" bib.
My friend Val gave John these award winning bottles(she's having a little boy just two weeks after me) and my friend Kalli who couldn't be at the shower gave John these hand made burp cloths and cute onesies.
My friend Rachelle got me these bath time essentials and some cute clothes from the Children's Place.
My cute sisters-in-law got me these. Tana gave John the cute monkey onesie and washcloths and Jen gave him this "Totally cuter than daddy" shirt and sweat pants and she also made this way chic wipes holder. Nice!
And thanks to Adrianne for leaving these diapers at Chris's house, John will put them to good use. Also, the cute little blanket I took the pictures of the gifts on was made by Jim's mother. Thanks to her too.
It was such a nice afternoon. Lance and I are so excited for John to arrive and meet all his wonderful family, especially his Grandma Clark.

That carrot cake was to die for! I love carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Yummy.
Me, Abby, Leah, and Lauren sure enjoyed the city park while you ladies were doing whatever you do during baby showers. It was a beautiful day. -Jess
I'm glad we could come. Nancy, I totally craved Slurpees when I was pregnant with Abby! -Jen
I'm glad you had such a good time. I'm sorry I couldn't be there. I miss a lot of things now. I'm excited for the baby to come.
Congratulations with the baby shower stuff! I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be there! You two will be FABULOUS parents.
It was fun to meet your friends and hang out with the girls. I found it funny that the men stayed in the kitchen until I kicked them out. We love them, but we needed the room. :)
Your reactions to each gift was delightful to see and watch. It helped remind me how anxious and excited I was to have each baby.
We can't wait to meet little John.

You don't just feel special, you are special. And I cannot wait to hold that new son. If he is only half a neat a person as his dad (and his mom) he will be very special, too.
