A Beautiful Day in Utah

It was a beautiful day today so I went on another walk during lunch time. There is still so much snow it's unbelievable even after three days of melting. This is looking at the library with Brigham Young's statue right in front.

Elder Holland spoke at the devotional today and the talk was amazing. He told a story about him and his wife when they were first married and the struggle they felt to keep going and not give up. She wouldn't let him quit and they were standing at this spot (below) when she told him he would never quit because the future held everything for them. I went to the spot and took this picture because I want to remember the wonderful, inspiring talk about looking forward and letting the past be in the past. Live in the present and look forward to the future. Let the atonement take care of the past.

I really miss the devotionals. I miss BYU. It was a great place to go to school.

That picture is right by the old Alumni House, right? Looking south?

Boy, I have memories of walking around on that campus. 7 years of school down there! -Jess
