Great Husband

I just have to comment about something that happened really early this morning.

Actually it all started with last night. I was out planting some flowers and I had stepped on something in the yard. I yelled because it stung and Jason came over and said, "Nothing's in your foot."

So I brushed it off and went on my way. (I shouldn't have been barefoot in the yard anyway, from past experiences I know better)

My foot was throbbing last night, but I didn't think to look at it. Went to bed, and this morning it was still throbbing, so I looked at it. There was a splinter, a teeny tiny splinter in the foot. It was 4:25a.m. when I discovered this and I had to go teach Body Pump at 5:20 a.m. so I had to get that splinter out. I worked on my foot with tweezers and other sharp objects for close to 20 minutes when I gave up. It wasn't coming out for me.

I woke up Jason. Begged him to get my splinter out. Tired and a wee bit grumpy (who wouldn't be at 4:45a.m.?) he got up and worked on my foot. We had to resort to a needle because it was so tiny, but after what seemed like forever he released it from my foot. I washed it well with rubbing alcohol and put several bandaids on it. Then left to go teach Body Pump.

My foot still hurts, but nothing like this morning.

Thank you Jason.

I'm glad Jason was able to get the splinter out...isn't it amazing that something so tiny can cause such a problem!

I was about to take her into lab where I have all the cool surgery tools (and narcotics) but we finally got it out. I am just impressed that she trusted me with a needle and sharp tweezers at 4:45 in the morning. And I was probably more than just a wee bit grumpy.
