We finally had family pictures done after almost 6 years. It took us all day to get ready for them and make sure everyone's outfit was clean, ironed, kids were clean, hair done and so on. It was quite a long day, but somehow at 5:45 this evening we pulled it off and had ourselves photographed. Those pictures will be back in a couple weeks. Meanwhile I took some pictures on the porch before we left. And a miracle happened today. Caleb who always hides from the camera asked me to photograph him, so I jumped on that opportunity and did, see below.

I love getting family pictures but also hate it. It is such an ordeal to get it done. We get a new one every time we have a new baby and that's about it. Our poor boys...Isaac has only gotten one picture and Will two.

It took me a while to decide what colors to do for all of us. We've done jean shirts in the past and assortments of matching/like colors, so I looked on the internet at several photography sites and black with khaki pants looked great on most. I hope the pictures really look great when we get them back. I'm a little worried since the photographer kept having the children say phrases instead of just having them smile. There might be many pictures with their mouths forming words. April 1st is the day we will see them.
Your kids are growing up so fast! Even Scott looks older from last summer when we saw him! Caleb looks really tall! Is Daniel tall too? Is Caleb turning 15 or 16 this summer? Wow. Dating isn't far behind. Good luck there guys!
