I've returned from my trip to DC and had a great time. I attended a conference in Fairfax, VA (about 15 miles west of DC) and gave a presentation on Thursday. I took the time to see some of the touristy things, including the Mall and Gettysburg, a 2-hour drive north of my hotel.

I looked at some of the pictures today...I only saw the Gettysburg ones yet though so I have to check the other ones out later. I would love to go to Gettysburg. I am a Civil War geek. It is all so interesting to me! Maybe sometime when Mike and I go to Maryland we will make it there.
Your photos made me want to go more now than ever. I recognized many of the pictures from the movie, "Gettysburg." I am so dang jealous!! Thanks for sharing.
