We have asked him over and over and he is not giving up on the name. So, what do you think of Damion? I don't think Mike and I love it but we think it might be a good compromise.
Nice name. Another way to spell it might be Damien or Dameian. Just a thought.
I've always loved the name Spencer. I wanted that name really bad. It ended up being Brenden's middle name. I also like Cameron. But since when I started having children Kirk Cameron was still on TV, Jason wouldn't go for that name.
Diamond is a much better name than Aribe Naka, which is what Abby insisted we name Lauren. She would say "You can name her something different but I will still call her Aribe Naka." How do you find a decent compromise on that? Since we didn't have a name picked out for most of my pregnancy I did call the her Naka.
It sounds fine but just a warning, traditionally that name meant lucifer/Satan. There was even a horror movie called Damien in the 70s. But some traditions are meant to be broken.
that last post was actually from hans. didn't i marry such a funny and all knowing man! i sure love him.
On another note, when i think of that name, i think of a really bad behaved little black boy. that name is usually a black boy's name. not that that is bad, but your kids are a far cry from being black. but hey, people here are telling me that the name gabriel (which is what we're going to name our boy) should only be a little spanish or mexican boy. So, lets just hope he comes out looking more like hans and eva with the darker skin and not me...bald and blue eyed as a baby.
People said Isaac was for a black boy too so obviously that doesn't matter to us. The definition of Damien means to tame or subdue and after Ikie, we might need that! We really just joke about the name because of Diamond but if we can't think of a different name, we just might use it.
Just so you all know, I was joking around with that name. Jason really does like it and I can't stand the name Kabrick. He wanted to name Caleb that, then Daniel and then gave up. He made it up and likes it. I think it's weird.
When Michelle first saw Alyssa in her hospital bassinette, she thought the nurses had already named her when she saw the word Female (she pronounced it like tamale) on the card. She actually liked it. I thought that she was still a little drugged.
Okay, truth be told, I was lying. Not even Michelle is that blond. However, that did happen - just not to us. Also, the same person who told me about that one (his wife is a nurse in labor and delivery or peds or where ever it is that new moms go to recover) told me about a woman who, after looking at her lunch menu, decided to name her son Orangejello. That's right, one word with the accent over a short "a" sound in orange. And Michelle thought Kabrick was weird.
Lunch menu? I wish I'd had a lunch menu when I was in the hospital. I would have liked a choice as to which delicious (ugh!) hospital meal I was going to get.

Do you like Damon? One of our favorite friends from college was named Damon. Remember him (the Kenricks)? They came to Thanksgiving one year.
Geoff was determined we name Jake Ricky Ricardo. I don't even know if he really knew who that was....

How about the name Ben?
No one has used that name yet and it's such a cute name I think.
Or Bailey
Blake
Braun
Alex
Rowan
Peyton
or just ask Jason, he has a great name picked out, it's Kabrick.
I love the name Damion. I think its really cute! I like Jensen for a boy. Kinda weird, but I like it.
I like Michelle's names -- they are all pretty nice, but Jason's pick, Kabrick??? Totally weird.
Damion sounds like a hero in a romance novel.

You kids are all nuts. Why not Ralph, or Herman, or Mable, or any other thing like that?
I actually like the name Benjamin or Ben for short. You know that is where I am going to be buried and where I grew up. Does that have any weight?
