Ultra Sounds

So, I had an interesting experience today. I went to get an ultra sound to check out all of my stomach pain. They are so weird! It was really cool to see everything in my stomach though. When he was looking at my stomach, you could see my vertebrae from the front! It was so cool. He told me to gain some weight, but I dont think I will since I already weigh 140. From what he could see, everything looked ok. They do want me to get some more tests because they aren't sure what it is. Has anyone else had an ultra sound for anything other than pregnancy? Hey, if anyone living here finds a nice cheap car, let me know. I am looking for one since Dave will be moving out soon and taking a car with him. Well, hope you all have a great day.

Yes, in college I had to have an ultrasound on my stomach and side to count out appendicitis. Having an ultrasound on a full bladder is never fun. I was having all kinds of problems with pain in my right side but they didn't find anything. They gave me 800mgs of some muscle relaxant but because I was taking classes, I couldn't very well be all doped up on meds. The pain eventually went away, but every now and then it will still come back. Weird, I know.

I got a stomach ultrasound but all they saw was food... No baby (whew!), no vertebrae, no innards, just food. That would explain why I'm so soft!

I had an ultrasound on a breast two years ago since I had found a lump and the ultrasound was to futher insvestigate whether it was cancerous or not. Glad they found only fat.

In some of our cases, even fat would be welcome there!

Haha, ya, wish I had that problem. sadly enough, none of the clark girls do except for lindsey! I always knew she was adopted.

for a second there, i thought you were talking about fat around the stomach. I was about to tell you, "how ruuude!" but in all actuallity, either way would be true, fat on the stomach or fat on the breasts. You could gladly take both from me. :)

I had an ultra sound on the stomach in high school. I had gotten a really bad UTI and they wanted to look at my kidneys for any damage done. I can't remember much else because well, i can't remember anything these days.

Okay, my real question is why Dave gets a car when he moves out, forcing Gillian to buy one? How come Dave doesn't buy his own car?

That was my question too. I mean, none of us got cars for free. I heard that he was trying to work out a deal with mom and dad and they were going to split the money with Gilly.

Firstly, it is really none of our business no matter what we think (I, too, had to buy my own car) and secondly, I'm sure there is more to the story than what any of us have heard. Let's all try to reserve judgement until we are in a position to do so.

Easy buddy, we're trying to get the whole story. That's why I asked the question...

Jason, seriously, I'm not trying to pick a fight. Geez. Sorry I upset you.

Hey -- everybody, take a deep breath and slow down. No decision has been made on the car. David needs one because he will move to Provo this weekend (I think) and he works in Spanish Fork for a while. Gillian needs one because she lives in Elk Ridge and has school in Spanish Fork and then goes directly to work until midnight every night. It isn't feasible for Jim or I to pick either one of these kids up after they are done. We are trying to figure out the best way to share, trade in, or sell and share the money.
I continually try to teach my kids the principle of consecration to keep pride, envy and selfishness down to the minimum. I have every confidence that we will be able to work it out on our side and that in the end both Gillian and David will have their needs met in a fair and equitable manner.
I believe Gillian wasn't complaining -- she just realizes that Dad has to have some kind of vehicle at home and the Tracker probably won't last too much longer. She has been looking at the possiblity of getting an old junker and we'll probably have to become more involved in their decisions now. It's good for everybody to learn how to deal with life's issues - and Gillian realizes that she can't move out without enough money to live on and she has accepted that. David is working on that issue right now. He is picking up work wherever he can besides the steady job at Big 5. We all need to let this issue work itself out. (Have a little trust in Dad and I, too.)
We love you all.

Sorry, guys. I wasn't trying to upset anyone. I was simply trying to ask why it matters to any of us whether Dave gets a car or not. Adrianne and Jess, I realize that your initial comments were probably meant to be light hearted and in jest. I don't know about any of the rest of you but I have enough to worry about in my own life without having to worry about who is getting what when and why I didn't get it. I love you guys and did not mean to hurt your feelings.

No feelings hurt here...I was just surprised that I made you upset. I really, really wasn't trying to pick a fight. It is hard when you write stuff on the internet to know what the other person is thinking. I hope too that if David reads this he isn't thinking I'm picking on him. I know that they are trying to work a deal out. It was stupid for me to even put in the part about us not having cars. Anyway, sorry, all.

Gillian, you should post more often.

She is quite popular, isn't she? I wish I could generate the # of comments she does!

She thinks she gets too many comments from me. And you should hear some of the comments I get from her. I am sort of glad that few get to comment to me.
