Tree Stump Digging

I took on an ambitious project today. On our side yard here, we're going to xeriscape it because the grass is pointless and not working. In the middle of the yard, however, was an old willow tree stump. It was about 6 feet tall until last fall when a neighbor came over with his chainsaw and helped cut it down to about 1 foot tall (see the stump in the first pic). We decided the stump wouldn't fit into our xeriscape plans, so it had to come out.

The stump grinders cost around $100 to rent, so that meant my back, arms, and hands had to pay the price instead. Here is how I spent my Saturday. Much relieved now.

My question is this: do you actually ever get to ENJOY your weekends? You always seem to have to fill your weekends up with some kind of "project". I hope you get some fun in every once in a while. By the way, did you ever get that carseat back from Adrienne?

Lindsey, we got it back a few weeks ago. Thanks for her phone number.

By the way, the answer is typically "yes." I enjoy the projects. Can't wait to spend my weekends putting in a new lawn!
