I walked out of my building to go to lunch about an hour ago and saw a sight that I thought was fitting - four Turkey Vultures circling over the VA hospital. I can't speak for all VA hospitals but the one here is a dungeon. Everytime I have to go over there to pick up a tissue sample, I am reminded of a Michael Crichton novel. Empty hallways, bare light bulbs, exposed pipes, etc... Maybe the patient areas are better.
The weather out here is incredible. The last few days have seen low humidity, clear skies, and temps in the low 70s. I know this is only going to last for a week or so before it starts to get hot and humid but I will enjoy it as much as possible while it lasts.
My basement is finally getting done. I hired a friend to do the electrical work so I finally have lights downstairs. I just need to finish framing a couple of problem spots and we'll be drywalling. I know Michelle will be happy to have this project done.
Congratulations to Gillian on getting a scholarship. That is great!!! Has anyone else in our family ever gotten a scholarship? I certainly didn't - at least not until grad school.

Post pictures of your basement when you can. Wish we could work it out so that we could all swap labor on each other's projects to get them done faster.
I got a scholarship from Spanish Fork High School similar to Gillian's. I think Adrianne got one from the Kiwanas, didn't she? Jen was offered a pretty sweet scholarship to Utah State but turned it down to come to BYU so she could meet me.

Mike got some sweet scholarship offers too but chose BYU's scholarship. Ah, that we could all be so smart.
Oh, and yes, I did get the Kiwanis scholarship. And Jason, our weather is awesome too! I want it to last forever.
I never had good enough grades for a scholarship and never lived anywhere long enough for anyone to like me enough for any other scholarship.
I did get a $500 scholarship in grad school from the counseling center (it was one that went to well performing crazies such as myself).
I got pell grants too - kind of like scholarships for people who had achieved a certain high level of poverty...hee hee.

Were's that itinerary of yours? I've been waiting for a schedule from you when you go to Barcelona. If you have time, I'm still interested in coming to see you. I just have to know if I need to rent a car and what area I need to look for a place to stay. I'm not sure where you will be staying, so I want to get a place close by if I can find something cheap.
