KUDOS, JESS!

We were lucky enough to be invited to attend Jess' defense of his master's thesis this afternoon. It was an impressive meeting! He did a great job and his presentation (power point) was very professional and interesting as well. He successfully defended this thesis and will graduate in April with his master's degree. All he has left to do is to make a few revisions to his paper and finish his current class!

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU, JESS! Jen, you played a very supportive role and I know he really loves and appreciates you for doing that.

Just let me say that I am completely blown away so many times by the knowledge all of you have in various areas of your life and how you apply it. It's so much fun to sit back and watch as a parent. Not a single one of you have disappointed me in any way! And you all have yet so much to accomplish. Go do it!!

Boy, brilliant sure isn't a word I'd attribute to me. More like "fumbling" toward a degree. I think what won my committee over was the cookies we brought as bribes.

Thanks for those who were able to attend: Jen, Mark Ellett, Lance, Mom, and Dad. And thanks to Amy for offering to watch our kids and Adam for his phone call from work after I finished.

Mom write well, and is so nice, but she doesn't ever sign her stuff. I guess you all know who is writting, but I wish she and others would follow the need of some of us to see who wrote exactly.

Now, for the rest of the story. I actually learned a lot of cool stuff in Jess' presentation. It was outstanding. It made me want to go to those places and walk the area. I have seen a ribbon forest but did not know what I was looking at.

Like mother, I am so pleased to see Jess' success in his field. Without any exceptions, each of my kids and their wonderful spouses are outstanding people. What goodness life can spawn. I think that the gospel is a big part of the mix, as well. But you guys brought so much to life with you when you came.

Dad, just so you know, if it is posted by Mike and Adrianne, it is usually me. Mike will sign his name if it is him.

Congrats Jess! I wish we couldv'e come, but didn't think bringing kids was a great idea. You can actually bring cookies? Sounds like the bribe worked. Just kidding. I bet you're glad it's over. Again, congrats from all of us in the Pugh household.
