It has been so busy around here the last couple of weeks that I have not had time to even check the blog let alone write in it. I was the only person here at work over spring break so I had quite a bit of work to do that all bled over into last week. I am really excited about some of the projects we have got going. I won't put you to sleep with the details but we are really making some headway on the technical front and will hopefully be following up our techical successes with some scientific ones. I will actually be going to a meeting in Barcelona in June to give a talk about how the cancer cells we study. I am pretty excited to be going to Spain and it looks like we will be flying through Amsterdam. It's too bad I won't have enough time to stop by and see Dave.

More importantly, I had the privilege of ordaining Dan to the office of a Deacon a week ago. He got to pass the sacrament for the first time yesterday and also got to go collect fast offerings with Caleb. As satisfying as it is to see my boys grow and accept new responsibilities, it makes me feel old. We went to a seminary registration meeting yesterday also. Just the thought that I am going to have a son in high school next year makes me want to have a midlife crisis. I am just thankful that we are out of the diaper and bottle stage although you wouldn't know it from the whining that starts when I tell everybody to do their jobs.

I hope everything is going well for everybody.

Welcome back, Jason. I will say that Barcelona sounds a heckuva lot better than the trips I typically make for work: Sioux Falls, SD; Spokane, WA; Albuquerque, NM; and etc.

Congrats on Dan staying alive long enough to become a deacon. I feel old having three kids, so I can only imagine what I'll feel like when I get a high schooler.

Can I come? Barcelona sounds great! Will you have any time to sight see while you're there? Hope your passport is current.

And congrats to Dan! Is Caleb going to HS next year? WOW! Good luck. I'm still dreading the middle school idea.

Jason, what about me!!? I could fly out to Barcelona for dirt cheap on Ryan air. I would love to meet you out there. When in June are you going to be there? How much time are you going to have? Let me know. I would absolutely LOVE to come meet you somewhere.

Congrats Daniel. I bet that's a pretty cool sight to see him passing the sacrement.
