Headstrong Children!

I am staying with a family in my ward until the 29th. I started yesterday. They have two boys ages 9 and 8 and one girl age 5. I'll tell you what, I want to smack the 8 year old over the head! If he was my child, I probably would too. The 9 year old is medicated, so he's under control. Okay that sounds bad. I don't believe kids should be medicated for bad behavior. He has ADD pretty bad. However, the 8 year old is trying all he can do to push my buttons. What he doesn't understand is that I am way way way more stubborn than he is! I will win this battle!!! I know as soon as his parents come home, he'll be right back to normal because he can get away with everything with them. But, he's going to learn a whole heck of a lot in one week with me. I feel like I'm in the show Nanny 911 as the nanny. If there is one thing I can't stand, it's a child who has no respect for adults. I hate it when I'm talking to a child and they don't feel like they need to look at me and respond because "I'm not their mom". Boy, things are going to change around here!

Just thought I'd do a little venting. Thanks for listening. I really am in a good mood even though it doesn't sound like it. :)

Linds, why are you staying with this family? Is Hans out of town somewhere? What's going on?

The parents of the kids are in Utah looking for a new house because they're moving back, and they can't afford to take all their kids back with them just to look for a house. Hans comes and stays with me here at their house when he gets off work every day. They only live about five minutes from our house.

So how does Hans behave when he comes, especially when you get this way? I loved talking to you on the phone the other day and hearing that giggling little girl in the background. Do you think she will pass your behavior tests?
