Fingers and boiling water don't mix
A few weeks ago I burned my arm royally. It blistered up within a few minutes and singed all the hair off. Now, it is healed but I have a great big pink spot on my arm to remind me of how much it hurt. Tonight I was making Spagetti for dinner and draining the water out of the noodles. I turned the pan a little to the side and the burning hot water seeped out the side of the lid onto my fingers. It was like one of those minutes where you are frozen on the spot so instead of ending whatever is happening, you let it continue. I screamed and the water just kept coming out onto my fingers!!! I can't wear my wedding ring because my finger is all puffy and now I have three fingers that are going to be nice little blisters. Right now I have aloe on them but it isn't working. My poor fingers.

We have this Aloe with Lidocaine ointment. It is heaven on earth for minor burns. It works well for sunburns also. If you can find some, it will make your life much less painful. Hope you feel better soon.
Is this Adrianne or Mike that got burnt?
Either way ouch and I hope you feel better soon.
Adrianne, I wish I told you this earlier, but as soon as you burn yourself, you should immediately crack an egg and pour the egg yolk over the burn. It instantly takes the burn away. I was taught that when I worked at Z'Tejas. Good luck with the fingers!

Thanks everyone. My fingers are healing nicely. The skin is peeling but they are fine.
