Blog problems?

This is actually Jess posting in an attempt to see if Mom and Dad's account works okay after the switch. What happened is Blogger (owned by Google) is undergoing a switch from Old Blogger to New Blogger (real original, right?). We set mcclarkies up in the Old Blogger format. Well, if you want to transfer your blog over to New Blogger, you have to first establish a Google Account. I made that change on my personal blogs months ago but didn't change mcclarkies because it wasn't really necessary and I didn't think Mom and Dad had Google Accounts.

Well, that change happened when Dad made the post about Dave's mission and ZL assignment. Dad established a Google Account (not a gmail account) and now uses that as his login. It seems like to create a Google Account, it automatically asks for your email address and not some fun username (like byunut). When I log into Blogger, I type in my email address (jessnjen@gmail.com) as my username.

Just some information. The blog is operating fine, but this change over is confusing and not very well documented on Google's side of things.

Obviously it still recognizes the nickname here despite logging in under the email address.

What exactly are the benefits of the new blogger? I haven't really investigated it.

The problem with this new stuff is that now the blog is all in German except for what people write. So, sometimes I can't post stuff because it's trying to tell me something but I don't know what it says. So, I have to wait for Hans to come and figure it out for me. I guess this is my cue to learn more German.

Hah?! The new stuff is in German for you? That cracks me up. I'll look for a setting somewhere that allows you to choose which language to use.

Sorry for that confusion.
