Ok, so I put a picture up of the ice from the storm last week. Here are some more. I just can't believe that it is all still here. The Governor was like, "I can't believe that you think we will clean off your roads." Let's see...we pay taxes for stuff like that. Anyway, you can see that a week later, our street (which is a busy street by the way) still has not been cleaned off. It actually is really beautiful at night when the lights shine on the ground. We tried to clean the driveway off last night and finally gave up when we realized that this weekend, starting tonight, we will get anywhere between 4-12 inches of snow. What a mess. Last night we bought a great big flashlight and a propane grill incase our power goes out. Too bad we don't have any cool movies to watch, although, if the power goes out I guess it won't matter. I heard there have been more deaths in Oklahoma than anywhere else from the storm that came through last week--14. The crazy thing is that some people still don't have power, from a week ago!! Maybe they will go without power for a long time now with the new storm coming in.

Do they sell ice melt out there? It's probably gone off the shelf though huh!?
I hope you keep your power. I think the storm would be excited and fun up until the point were I lose power and heat for any extended amount of time. I hate the thought of being in a cold and dark house with my two young kids.
Jen and I endured an ice storm in Portland a few winters ago and had to delay travel for two days until it was safe to fly and drive.
I know what you mean. I'm actually excited for the snow but the thought of being without power and heat really doesn't fill me with happiness. I am really tired of being stuck in the house though. I went somewhere the second time in over a week last night. While I was excited to go somewhere, I was also excited to get back home because driving was a nightmare and everyone was rushing to get supplies because, "The end of the world is coming." I guess in Oklahoma it is the end of the world because they just aren't equiped for something like this.
