Hot, Hot, Hot...and pregnant! I hate this summer. This is probably the only time I'll ever say I hate summer, but this is not normal summer weather for Germany. We haven't had rain in over three weeks and yesterday it was 110 degrees all day! Please keep in mind you all have air conditioning. Germans don't believe in a wonderful thing called air-conditioning. I hate it. For the last three days it has been in the 100's. So, today Hans suggested we act like animals in Africa and go find a watering hole. We walked across the autobaun over the Rhine river and went down some stairs that led us to an island in the middle of the river. It had a really nice beach with a bay that we could swim in. The river is actually quite clean. We went on the 4th of July too, but this time there was a huge difference in the amount of water in the bay. We could still swim though. I just can't stand not having air-conditioning in my place and living on the second floor. Enough complaining though.

yea at work all the baggers have to take turns getting carts from outside for 20 minutes and I had to go at like 3:00 pm the other day and yea it was 106 degrees outside, not a cloud in the sky, and I was pushing 8 carts in at the same time and it was FLIPPIN HOT! I thought I was gonna pass out... for Utah this weather is weird, we never get this hot... It has been hitting 100 for quite some time. Its weird..
Sorry Linds. Drink lots of water because if you are dehydrated you can go into labor. We had nine days of over 100 and now we have a few days in the 90's and then it will be back to the 100's. Our AC is always on and it still is 81 in our house. If it weren't for the AC I would die. It's funny because I really am obsessed with the weather now. Hang in there.
Gillian, you forget past summers so quickly. Do you not remember that we had a record 16 straight days of 100 or hotter in 2003? Yes, that was the summer Jen was pregnant with Abby. This heat (over 100) here in Utah isn't too abnormal at all. Hey, I'm not complaining too much because I get to spend 9 hours a day in an air-conditioned building.
That is so sad. I'm so sorry about that. Mom didn't believe me when I told her that it had been 110 degrees there. She finaly decided to believe me when she talked to you on the phone today. Well I should probably get to bed. Church is at nine in the morning...ugh.
Yes, the weather still sucks everyone. We got a huge storm last night with rain, but it didn't cool down at all! It's right back up there today. Adrianne, I didn't know I could got into labor if I'm dehydrated. So, maybe that's what I'll do to enduce labor! J/K
Linds, you could do that to induce labor and then you could have your baby in the hospital for the next three months. It wouldn't be able to breathe on it's own and it probably wouldn't weigh much more than a pound--along with a lot of other things. Sounds like a good option to me. How 'bout you wait until 37 weeks when it is safe to have your baby and then stop drinking. Truthfully, I always think to myself lately, "just don't drink as much water. You are sure to be dehydrated because it's so hot." And then I feel bad and go drink two big glasses of water. It stinks. Hang in there.
I always get a kick out reading the comments of my sisters who are now seasoned pregnacy pros. You understand now, don't you? I hope you both take care of yourselves and your babies.
