The first haircut

Well, Henry recently went and had his first haricut. It was badly needed - he had hair running over his ears and flying up on top.

Here are two pictures of henry at his first haircut. Pretty cute, ain't he?!

Don't ask me the question of isn't he cool. That goes without saying. He fits right into the fantastic group of kids that are part of all of you kids' families. Each one is a unique individual, yet each on is part of a wonderful whole. They are far beyond what Chris and I can take credit for. You kids have done such an outstanding job of choosing spouses that you have improved the family species greatly.

I'm impressed that you got him to sit! Mike and I have given Will five hair cuts now and after the first one went so horribly we decided just to buzz it until he is old enough to sit still and have it cut! His hair grows so fast that I just have to wait a few weeks and then I can spike it and he looks very cute. What is your secret for a still baby? Also, thanks for putting up pictures. I had no clue what he looked like. Cute baby!

Did you read that? Dad just created a new species. For someone who doesn't believe in speciation, he does a pretty good job, don't you think? Dad, we all know that you meant that our spouses have greatly improved the depth of our family's gene pool. That is evident in these pictures of Henry. What a good looking boy. My boys still talk about how much fun it was to play with him.

Well, to tell you the truth he was sitting on my lap for the actual hair cut and even then he was a Mr. squirmy worm the whole time. ANd the clippers around his ears - forget about it - he cried during that part. Sorry Adrianne, I have no great secrets on how to keep him still... :) I wish I did!
Jason - Henry had fun with your kids, too. It's too bad they're not closer to play with him more often!

I remember it taking Geoff a while to not be scared of the clippers. He hated it around the ears too. I don't think there is a real secret. Bribery maybe??

It looks like it turned out great though. He's darling!
