Yesterday I was sitting in Sacrament running my fingers through Scott's hair when I came across a bump.
I lifted up his hair to see the nastiest thing. A huge tick full of blood eating Scott's head. I just about screamed.
I contained myself and quickly hit Jason and said "Look at this!" He then took Scott to the bathroom and yanked the tick out of his head with a piece of papertowel.
When Scott came back he had tears in his eyes and a bloody spot in the back of his scalp. Jason said he was really brave. Poor guy.
I'll just have to check for ticks more often since we have about 10 grown trees in our yard.

I understand!! I had a tick in my side a few months ago. I freaked out. Thankfully, Mike found it and yanked it out for me. I couldn't have done that.
It was not full of blood but by the way Michelle reacted I thought Scott had poked his eye out.
Michelle and I both got callings yesterday. I am going to be a youth Sunday School teacher and Michelle is going to be a Relief Society teacher. There is no greater calling in the Church than to be a teacher. I am not sure which age group I will be teaching but it looks like it will be the 12-13 year olds. Caleb is going to be annoyed.
Today is Caleb's first day of Scout camp. I had to get up with him at 3:45 am to get him to the church on time. I am excited for him and kind of wish that I was up there too.
Jason, I'm glad you are not up there with Caleb because then I'd truly go crazy around here. Summer is so hard with all of the children home. Maybe I should go up to Scout camp, now that would be interesting.
By the way, the tick was full of blood, the tick was the size of my thumb nail and it freaked me out.
I get to teach the 12 and 13 year olds during Priesthood hour, and I get to go to Scout Camp this summer as well. I only have enough vacation time to go half the week, but it looks like it'll be fun. We're going to Bear Lake.
Michelle, I give you credit. I would have screamed right in the middle of the sacrement if I saw a tick. Isn't it true that if you just pull one out, the head can get stuck inside the body? Are you sure it's all out? This is making me itch just thinking about it.
