I
posted pictures from my Grandeur Peak Hike on a new photo service I'm trying. Take a look at the album if you so desire. It was a good hike and I'm sore today. Turns out we started the hike at 5,800' and climbed to the summit at 8,300', a gain of 2,500' in less than 3 miles. The views from the top were worth it, but the hike down in the dark was brutal. My left ankle and right knee are cursing my name.

I thought my hike to Angel's Landing was tough -- it only went 1,500' in 1.5 miles. Glad this was your hike, not mine. It was also a lot hotter for you than it was for me.
Blister looks sore but it looks like everybody made it safe and sound!
Warm it was. The hi yesterday was around 97, but we started late enough it had cooled down some.
However, I don't think I've sweat like that for a while. As soon as we got out of the drainage and onto the south-facing slopes adorned with gamble oak, the temperature rose in a hurry and it was even fairly humid (relatively speaking).
